As a Lead Consultant/Forensic Materials Technician, Benjamin (Ben) works closely with the engineering team. He performs various duties, such as triaging incoming evidence for engineers, designing and constructing test fixtures, and assisting with inspections and metallography. In addition to maintaining a clean and adequately stocked laboratory and calibrating laboratory equipment, he participates in evidence exams and lab tests and formulates accurate written and verbal descriptions.

Before becoming a Forensic Materials Technician, he served as an information technology (IT) specialist and network administrator, providing a wide range of technology consulting services to internal engineers and external clients and consulting on IT or data and systems management projects. His background in IT and network administration allows him to utilize technology, where possible, to help solve complicated out-of-the-box problems that arise for clients and employees alike.
